Cuba enlivens the senses. It’s a nation of contradictions; beauty, mystery, oddities, pride, paranoia, love, music, misery.

I went to Cuba, rented a car, and drove independently around the eastern third of the country. Along the way, I found families who were willing to host me in their homes.
